Mission Statement: The KNK landscape is a well-established and well
maintained living system that represents a multi-million dollar investment by the
owners. The quality of our landscape environment is important to maintaining the
value of the property, as well as reducing fire hazard. Safeguarding the quality of the
landscape is the focus of the Landscape/Grounds Committee, which addresses
issues pertaining to the trees, plants and irrigation system. The Committee
recommends to the Board the removal of any plants causing sewer or water line
obstructions, or wood rot to the building structures, and recommends replacement
planting to preserve the visual quality of the property and preserve owners’ privacy.
A cost analysis is provided for every recommendation.
Owner Requests to Trim and/or
Remove Plants and Trees
.
Owners who want trees/plants trimmed or
removed must file a
work order request
with the Resident Manager in person, on-
line or via
email.. The RM will refer those
requests to the Landscape Committee with
his written recommendation for action.
The Landscape Committee will assess the
plants in question, talk with affected
owners about trimming/removal and make
a final recommendation to the RM
regarding the request. The Board will
review all recommendations by the
Committee. Any Owner who does not
agree with the decision of the Board
and/or Landscape Committee may pursue
the AOAO appeal process. Any tree/plant
that poses an immediate health or safety
problem will be handled at the RM’s
discretion, in consultation with the
Landscape Committee Chair. Any request
exceeding $250 in cost must be approved
by the Board.
